What are your natural skills/talents?

  • Organization and administration, consensus building, writing, teaching, wisdom, and discernment.

Are you most comfortable behind the scenes or out in front?

  • Behind the scenes

In what ways has spiritual growth been evident in your life in the past 6 months?

  • Learning to trust in God for His plan and be used by Him wherever He places me.

How do you see your natural skills/talents being used by God for the building up of the body of Christ?

  • I work well on boards, and with the ministry experience that I have, I am able to support our staff and Pastors in the church through an understanding of their roles. I help accomplish tasks on committees and move processes forward.

How do you believe you will fit in well with our Board?

  • Having already served on the board recently, I believe I can help out with decision-making, accomplishing assigned tasks, record-keeping through note-taking, or leading meetings.

Why do you want to join the Board?

  • I love serving the kingdom by serving and leading in my local church. I can't see not serving on the board in some capacity.

How do you see yourself best serving at your campus?

  • Communicating, being a presence, teaching, being an example to "set the pace."

Do you work well with large groups, small groups?  Older people, younger? Do you have particular passions for areas in our church (i.e., Elderly, poor, etc)

  • I work well with both large and small groups, though I probably prefer small groups. I have a passion for organizational leadership, writing, and teaching.

How important is Cornerstone in the midst of all that is going on in your life?  

  • Very important. I have made a cognizant choice to stay involved and close to Cornerstone over the past ten years.

Where have you served in our church previously?

  • I have served in youth ministry, community group leader/teacher, elder for two terms, board secretary, and chair of the board. I have also served on various committees, including the nomination, pastoral, staff search, and By-law revision committees.
